| Preservation Plus™ uses UV filtering glass or Plexiglas, which stops 99 Percent of the sun's damaging rays. Added to that, we use acid-free, 100 percent cotton ragmats, or buffered lignin-free mat-boards with acid free backing. Some newer innovations include using a "MicroChamber technology, which aggressively holds air pollutants and acids away from the artwork encapulating and neutralizing them. Many of our national treasures are preserved with these same archival , “Artcare” boards. The frame is then lined with metal tape to prevent acid from the wood migrating onto the art. |
